Dropshipping Step 5 – Optimize Your Drop Shipping Website For Conversions

Afterwards, you will need to optimize your website for sales. This is where you can make all the improvement. There are several different things you could do once you have your drop ship store open that can improve your conversion rate. Your conversion rate is the number of people that purchase compared to the number of people that just come to check out your site.

Here’s the thing, you could have all the traffic in the world but if they don’t purchase any of your products, it is irrelevant. You don’t need to have heaps of website traffic, but what you do need is a buying audience. You need your website to convert those visitors into buyers. Otherwise, all the web traffic in the world won’t fix your problem.

Luckily many of the problems have good solutions that already exist.

  1. Improve your store availability, get to know your customers, and offer outstanding support. You can do all this with a simple live chat, here is a good example of one.
  2. Get credibility and social proof with reviews. There are several review apps one of the biggest is Loox. You can get here an extended 30 days trail.
  3. Page loading time. The store should load fast enough so your customers won’t leave before they even see the products. More than that, if you are hoping to get into Google search engine results you must make sure your site is loading fast enough. There is a free tool by Google that’ll help you do that. it is called Pagespeed Insights by Google.
  4. Upsells. The easiest way to generate more revenue is by adding an upsell. That means that for every item a customer is buying he is automatically offered to buy another item that is related. It is much easier to get the extra revenue from the existing customer than bringing a new customer. One great tool for that is the Shopify app Reconvert
